Ugly Duckli was founded on a humble dream.

Our founder, Rikke V. Landi, has always wanted to share the spirit and romance of her Scandinavian descent with the rest of the world. Rikke appreciated the minimalist elegance of traditional, as well as contemporary Scandinavian handicrafts; from the age-old woven paper heart basket to the modern brass ornaments. And now, through Ugly Duckli, you can too.

Ugly Duckli’s in-house design team is responsible for all our creative and original products. Some of these include our interpretation of the traditional paper woven heart and stars. The brass Heart Decoration, brass Heart Ornament, brass Star Ornament and glazed paper DIY kit; these are all examples of our creation.

The “pat on the back” came, when Ugly Duckli was awarded the Formland price for 'Best New Product Design' at the largest, professional gift show in Scandinavia.

Since then, we have continued to do what we do best - design and manufacture new, customized products with a Scandinavian theme. We are now based in New York, and have retained other talented Scandinavian designers and partnered responsible manufacturers worldwide to serve you better. A couple of our satisfied clients include the Unicef and Wine & Spirits (owner of the brand Absolut vodka).
