Perhaps some of the most authentic Danish design is the whimsical paper heart, in Denmark affectionately referred to as a "Julehjerte".
Danish design has a long tradition for elegant, simplicity and the Danish design "julehjerter" is no exception: It is created by weaving two pieces of paper together to form a heart shape. In traditional Danish design style, the contrasting colors used for the "julehjerte" is basic red and white.
These basic colors are truly elegant when decorating for example a fresh Christmas pine tree.
